"Nobody does small cars better than Fiat" was the message from leading motoring publication Auto Express. This explains why the Fiat Panda scooped their award for the "Best Used Small Car 2007".
Auto Express has been a fan of the city car ever since it took top prize at their New Car Honors in 2004. In 2004 the judges loved its looks, road manners and practicality, all still strong attractions. Other outstanding features mentioned were the Panda's unbelievable value for money, and that it isn't plagued by reliability issues, suffered by some of its equivalents.
The Fiat Panda was the unanimous choice amongst the panel featuring experts from Glass's guide and British Car Auctions.
Amongst the other awards given out by Auto Express included the Best Used Recreational 4x4 and Best Used Coupe.
The Nissan X-Trial was voted the best buy in the recreational 4x4 category. The combination of fantastic on-road etiquette and genuine off-road capabilities convinced the judges that the X-Trial is the ultimate used SUV. The panel also took into consideration its spaciousness both upfront thanks to the large hardwearing cabin and the large boot space. Not forgetting its impeccable reliability record.
The Nissan 350z, with its looks and performance pushed it to the top of the Best Used Coupe category. Nissan's reputation for excellent build quality and the car's first rate reliability also helped the car into first place.
