Be Congestion Free with Desira

Fiat is one of the world’s carmakers that have responded most effectively to the need to limit the impact that transport has on the environment. Fiat is the European leader for the production of compact cars, by definition the most environment-friendly. They are the car manufacturer with the lowest average CO2 emissions in Europe. The recent launch of the Fiat 500, which is available at Desira, introduces Euro 5 Ready engines (petrol and diesel) two years ahead of the deadline. Fiat has also made the decision to introduce Euro 5 engines on the majority of its engine range by the end of 2009.
Desira offer a comprehensive range of Fiat cars which have emissions below 120g/km. This is great news for London inhabitants as these models will be exempt from the revised London Congestion Charge due for implementation in October. The new Fiat 500, Bravo, Grande Punto and Panda will all be free from the charge. These models also mean less road tax, only £35 each year and thanks to small yet powerful engines - savings on fuel too.
Fiat was the first manufacturer to invent MultiJet technology, which powers nearly all new generation diesels. Fiat believes that natural gas propulsion is the most appropriate technology available today to solve the problem of pollution in built-up areas. The benefits of the use of natural gas are both economic and environmental. Fiat is the first to offer a ‘Natural Power’ range of eco-friendly dual fuel methane-petrol vehicles that meet the mobility needs of a vast number of users.
