Top Dog for Safety

The Nissan Qashqai may still be new to the car market but it is already making waves.  The popular Nissan Qashqai has been awarded by the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP) with the highest number of star ratings for the category of adult occupant protection.

The vehicle received the maximum five stars and according to the group’s history, this is the first time that such a number of star ratings have ever been given to a vehicle.  The Qashqai was awarded 36.83 points out of a maximum 37 points by the independent crash test organisation, received almost full scores in Euro NCAP’s strict front and side impact tests, as well as a full score for seatbelt reminders.  Euro NCAP’s front and side impact testing verifies the crash worthiness of the vehicle and looks for any injury that may occur to the driver or the passenger from structural deformation of the car as a result of an accident.

The Qashqai, which went on sale at Desira in Norwich earlier this year, also received an impressive four stars for child protection. Currently no vehicle in the small family category has received the maximum five.  The Nissan Qashqai offers the best attributes of a traditional family hatchback with the ability and practicality of a 4x4.  Above all, it offers families an extremely safe vehicle.

The Qashqai’s exceptional performance in the Euro NCAP awards is further testament to the superior quality and capability of the Nissan Qashqai compared to its competitors and looks set for a victorious future.
