Desira Group Plc is thrilled to announce the Share Purchase of Simpson Garage Great Yarmouth Ltd.
From one family run local business to another. Established for over 63 years Simpsons is synonymous in East Anglia for Motor Homes Sales, Repairs and Servicing, and with fantastic Aftersales Franchises for Skoda, Fiat and Fiat Professional, it was a perfect addition. Simpsons will not be changing the name to Desira it will continue trading as it is.
The two companies are remarkably similar, both dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service, share the same family values, and have deep connections with the local community. Desira Group Plc have been in Great Yarmouth at our North Quay Dealership, for over 42 years and were established in Norfolk in 1972 by our Chairman John Desira. So, to increase our Dealerships in the expanding local community and give our customers more choice, seemed a natural progression.
With the new bridge now open next door the location means we can also serve customers on the South of Great Yarmouth whilst we also retain the New and Used Motorhome Sales, Used Car Sales and Aftersales Franchises for Skoda, Fiat and Fiat Professional. We are looking forward to meeting our new and existing customers.
We have no plans to change our existing Desira Nissan, Fiat and Citroen North Quay Dealership. Where we represent Nissan for New Car Sales and Aftersales for Nissan, Fiat and Citroen. We also stock over 500 Used Cars in Group Stock.
The Directors, Stuart Stone, and Michelle Gant have met with all the Simpsons staff and are looking forward to becoming part of the Simpsons team and vice versa. With the same family dealership values and ethos, which will continue, we believe this will be a great benefit to the Customers and valued staff, so are extremely excited for the future.
Motorhomes is a new Growth area for us, and the Used Car Sales and Aftersales Franchises compliment our current Great Yarmouth Dealership. Over the last two years, we have been working on various businesses and brands to add to the Group, ensuring any new partnerships would be the right fit and a major opportunity. So, the Desira Directors have a great relationship with Belinda Crick and Andrew Aldis Directors at Simpsons, we hugely appreciate all their hard work and support for ensuring we enjoy such a smooth handover. Belinda will continue working with us for some time and we wish Andrew every success in his retirement. Letitia Saunders our previous General Sales Manager at Desira Nissan, Fiat and Citroen Great Yarmouth will be moving to Simpsons to Manage the Dealership with Bill Najam already taking over her position at Desira.
Letita has been with the Desira Group for over 20 years and lives in Great Yarmouth so is in the perfect position to Manage the transition, ensure we retain the Simpsons ethos and will be working with Belinda and colleagues to continue the fantastic customer care, knowledge, and expertise they already provide to their loyal customer base.
