The Rexton is characterised by a blend of elegance and traditional 4x4 values and the latest Rexton brings things bang up to date.
The exterior styling has been enhanced by a new grille, projector headlamps and LED daytime running lights which give a totally contemporary look.
There is a feeling of desirable luxury on entering the cabin - leather seats are complemented by metal grain trim and a chunky new steering wheel fitted with audio, telephone and cruise controls and there's updated instrumentation to further enhance the interior.
However, it's a luxury that is matched by practicality. Seven seats are standard, with the rear row conveniently folding when extra luggage space is required - to maximise internal space, a five seat option is available.
Rexton's new 2.2 litre e-XDi220 Euro 6 engine offers maximum power of 178PS/4,000rpm and maximum torque of 400Nm/1,400-2,800rpm and is designed to provide low end torque for effortless cruising whatver the conditions and whatever the load.
With its 3 tonne towing capability, the Rexton will also make light work of hauling a large caravan, horsebox, boat or work trailer. The strong ladder chassis provides a substantial towing platform, add to that 4x4 capability, and the Rexton can handle all your towing requirements.
There's the choice of a 6-speed manual or 7-speed Mercedes-Benz E-Tronic automatic transmission that ensure world class durability, slick gear changes and strong performance on or off road. The selectable 4x4 system provides reassurance whatever the job and whatever the weather. And when the going gets really tough you can select low range which splits the torque equally between front and rear axles to provide all round traction and ensure optimum grip across the most challenging terrain.
