The Motability Scheme enables you to get mobile by exchanging your mobility allowance to lease a new car

How The Motability Scheme Works

You simply exchange all, or part of your mobility allowance to lease the vehicle of your choice. You choose the vehicle you want at a price that works for you, and payments are deducted from your allowance every four weeks, then paid directly to us by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) or Veterans UK.

All-inclusive Leasing

All the below running costs are taken care of, so all you need to do is add fuel and go:

• Insurance (for up to three named drivers for cars and WAVs)
• Servicing, maintenance and repairs due to general wear
  
• Breakdown cover
  
• Tyre repair and replacement
  
• Windscreen repairs

Are you Eligible for the Motability Scheme?

To be eligible to join the Motability Scheme, you need to receive one of the following mobility allowances and you must have at least 12 months’ award length remaining. Please note that the Attendance Allowance cannot be used to lease a car through the scheme.

• The Higher Rate Motability Component (HRMC) of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
• The new Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of the Personal Independence Payment (ERMC PIP)
• The War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
• The new Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)
