OMODA has launched an exclusive EV Tax Rebate on the new all-electric OMODA E5, giving drivers the equivalent of 20,000 miles at 3p per mile.
Introduced in response to the Government’s plan to introduce a 3p-per-mile tax for pure electric vehicles from 2028–2029, this manufacturer-funded saving is available on qualifying OMODA E5 models purchased through the national retailer network using approved finance products.
Although the tax won’t take effect for another three years, customers can benefit from this saving immediately when purchasing an OMODA E5 with an approved 48-month finance agreement. This ensures the rebate remains relevant across the full four-year term, effectively pre-covering part of the future EV tax burden.
This initiative is designed to help drivers enjoy lower running costs and reduced lifetime ownership expenses—supporting the UK’s shift toward cleaner, more efficient electric mobility.
Gary Lan, CEO of OMODA&JAECOO UK, said:
“Today’s Budget introduces a new 3p-per-mile EV tax from 2028–2029, and we want to make the transition to electric driving as smooth as possible for our customers right now. Our EV Tax Rebate effectively covers the first few years of this new tax, giving OMODA E5 drivers the equivalent of thousands of miles of zero-cost motoring. The OMODA E5 represents the forefront of electric mobility, and this initiative reflects our commitment to making clean, intelligent transportation more accessible from day one.”
With the average EV travelling 8,740 miles per year*, the OMODA EV Tax Rebate is intended to cover between two and three years of the upcoming pay-per-mile tax.
