The Nissan LEAF, Europe’s first truly mainstream electric car when it launched in 2011, is returning in an exciting new form. Proudly built in Sunderland, the all-new third-generation LEAF has now hit the roads for the first time, offering an impressive range of up to 386 miles, a bold new design, and the latest technology and safety features.
Clíodhna Lyons, Region Vice President for Nissan, says it best:
“The all-new LEAF is smart, stylish and perfect for the next generation of EV drivers. With its long range and connected technology, it delivers the convenience and excitement our customers want.”
Designed in Japan and built in the UK, the new LEAF combines a sporty crossover style with sleek aerodynamics that help maximise driving range. Its standout design includes:
Inside, the LEAF is roomy and practical, offering up to 437 litres of boot space—perfect for families, commuters, and weekend adventures. Choose from seven striking colours, including the new Luminous Teal.
Choose from two battery options:
On longer motorway trips, the 75kWh version still manages up to 269 miles at 70mph. When you do need to charge, the LEAF supports 150kW rapid charging, adding up to 273 miles in around 30 minutes.
There’s also handy Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, letting you power items like laptops or camping gear directly from the car. Future updates will make it Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) ready, letting the car return power to the grid when supported.
Built on the same platform as the Nissan Ariya, the new LEAF delivers a comfortable yet responsive drive. Key features include:
The electric motor delivers 215hp and 355Nm of torque, achieving 0–62mph in 7.6 seconds.
Safety is also front and centre, with features such as Intelligent Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Intervention, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Lane Keep Assist.
