Desira is excited to announce that orders are now open for the Jaecoo 7, a premium C-segment SUV designed to establish a strong foothold for the Chinese brand in the UK. While the Jaecoo name may be new to some, its parent company Chery is China's largest car exporter, with close ties to Jaguar Land Rover and the popular Omoda brand. Positioned as a more premium alternative to Omoda, the Jaecoo 7 is priced competitively from £29,435, taking on rivals like the Volkswagen T-Roc and Toyota C-HR.

The Jaecoo 7 offers two powertrains:
A 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine, producing 145bhp and 275Nm of torque, with an efficiency rating of 37.7mpg (WLTP).
A plug-in hybrid (PHEV), priced from £35,065, which pairs a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with an 18.3kW battery. This PHEV delivers 201bhp and 310Nm of torque, with an impressive all-electric range of 56 miles and a combined fuel efficiency of 403mpg.
Both powertrains are available in front-wheel drive, with a four-wheel drive option that enhances off-road capability. The four-wheel-drive model boasts a 600mm wading depth, driving modes like Sand, Mud, Snow, and Off-road, along with approach and departure angles of 21 and 29 degrees, respectively. A simulated differential lock further enhances its off-road performance.

At 4,500mm long, 1,865mm wide, and 1,680mm tall, the Jaecoo 7 is larger in every dimension than its Toyota and Volkswagen competitors. Its rugged design emphasizes a blocky, off-road aesthetic. Inside, the tall profile provides generous headroom and legroom, ensuring comfort for passengers up to six feet tall. The 412-litre boot adds practicality for daily use.
The Jaecoo 7 is available in two trims: Deluxe and Luxury.
Deluxe (from £29,435, 2WD petrol): Includes a 13.8-inch touchscreen, 360-degree camera, parking sensors, wireless smartphone charger, heated synthetic leather seats, panoramic sunroof, and ambient lighting.
Luxury (from £32,850 for AWD petrol; £35,065 for PHEV): Adds a 14.8-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display with HUD, heated steering wheel, eight-speaker Sony sound system, ventilated driver’s seat with lumbar support, and additional premium features.
