Desira Supports The Big Walk 93 Mile Charity Challenge

Desira Group is proud to be supporting The Big Walk, an incredible 93 mile charity challenge taking place from 9th–12th October, raising vital funds for Big C Cancer Charity and East Anglian Air Ambulance.

Over four demanding days, Mark Pollard and Tom Burkill from Anglian Chemicals, customers of Desira, alongside Norwich City Legend, Grant Holt and will take on the 93 mile walk, putting months of training to the test while raising money and awareness for two fantastic charities that provide invaluable support across our region.

Desira Providing Support Along the Route

To help the team throughout the challenge, Desira will be providing a JAECOO 8 SHS-P as the official support vehicle for the four day journey.

With long days of walking ahead, the spacious six seat SUV will provide somewhere for the team to rest and recover between stages, with its heated, ventilated and massaging seats likely to be particularly welcome as the miles begin to add up!

The vehicle will also carry the team and their equipment throughout the challenge, ensuring they have the support they need along the route.

A Challenge Within the Challenge

While Mark, Grant and Tom have 93 miles to conquer on foot, we've decided to give the JAECOO 8 a challenge of its own.

With up to 83 miles of pure electric range, we'll be seeing just how close to the end of the 93 mile challenge the JAECOO 8 can get while carrying the team and their kit and performing its support duties on electric power alone.

It will provide an interesting opportunity to see how the Super Hybrid System performs in a real world setting while playing an important supporting role throughout the event.

Supporting Two Incredible Regional Charities

Most importantly, The Big Walk is all about raising money for Big C Cancer Charity and East Anglian Air Ambulance.

Both organisations provide incredibly important services to people and families across East Anglia, making this a challenge Desira is delighted to get behind.

The team have been putting in the training miles ahead of the challenge, and with just days to go until they set off on 9th October, there's still plenty of opportunity to show your support.

Donations are very welcome, and every contribution will help make each of those 93 miles count.

We wish Mark, Grant and Tom the very best of luck with the final preparations and all four days of The Big Walk. We're proud to be playing our part and look forward to following their progress from 9th–12th October.
