At Desira group, we are proud to support local charities and staff fundraising events.
We are supporting the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital charity which aims to improve patient, visitor and staff welfare at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and Cromer and District Hospital.
While the NHS provides the necessities, the charity supports projects that make the hospital experience a better one for patients, visitors and staff. Your donations are used in many ways, from funding toys on our children’s wards to lifesaving equipment for various departments or wards.
Desira Nissan is proud to support an inspiring team from the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital as they embark on the N&N Hospitals Charity Spineathlon 2026, a demanding 180-mile walk, kayak and cycle multi-day challenge aimed at transforming care for children and young people living with scoliosis.
As part of our commitment to supporting local communities and charitable initiatives, Desira Nissan has provided a Nissan Qashqai support vehicle to accompany the team throughout their six-day journey across Norfolk.
Following the success of last year’s event, we’re proud to once again be the Headline Sponsor of the Norfolk & Norwich Hospitals Charity Golf Day.
This years event is raising funds towards the purchase of a low dose spinal scanner to improve the diagnosis, treatment and lifelong outcomes for children and young people with spinal curvature (scoliosis). These patients must endure scans every six months as part of their treatment – traditional scans increase the risk of cancer in later life, this risk is even greater in girls.
The scanner will be used to treat Children across Norfolk, Suffolk, East Anglia and East of England – so supporting this event will provide a positive lifelong impact to the lives of hundreds, if not thousands of children and their families.

To be held at Barnham Broom Golf Club on Thursday 22nd May 2025.
All proceeds from the N&N Hospitals Charity Golf day will go towards their 2025 appeal, Surgical Robots - JustGiving which pledges to raise enough money purchase two new state of the art Surgical Robots.
What will this mean for the hospital and patients? This will mean more patients within our community are able to undergo safer, less invasive procedures which will ensure better surgical outcomes, resulting in shorter hospital stays and a reduced need for additional support post surgery. This will in turn mean hospital and clinical resources are made more accessible with less waiting times for our patients within our community.
The NNUH breast unit handles breast cancer referrals from GPs across the region.
The number of patients it sees each month has almost doubled in the last five years, and a new dedicated breast unit is urgently needed.
