The Norfolk and Norwich Hospital Charity have announced the resounding success of the inaugural golf day held at Barnham Broom Golf club on Thursday 22nd May.
21 teams of golfers took part in a Stableford competition, with the overall winners a Team representing Winchester Construction. The individual winner was Johnny Waugh (representing Shredstation). There were 9 “Beat the Pro” winners, 4 nearest pin winners, along with Putting competition winner Daren Game (representing Desira).
The event was sponsored by Desira, who also supported a hole in one competition where participants had the chance to win an OMODA 5 car – unfortunately there were no winners but there were some very close misses!
The event raised nearly £10,000 for the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital Charity Robot Appeal, which recently reached 50% of the £3,000,000 target.
Fundraising Coordinator, Sarah Jane Peberday said “It was a great event, and all the participants were very generous in their support and donations. There were 18 auction lots which raised just under £4000, so a big thankyou to the local and National organisations for their generosity. I would also extend thanks to the Team from Norfolk Cafes for their help in delivering this inaugural annual Golf Day.”
Of the 21 Teams taking place, the NNUH was represented by an Oncology team and a team of surgeons.
