Our Isuzu dealership in Norwich is supporting local Mini Challenge Clubsport racing driver, Andy Langley Racing. For the upcoming season, we will provide Langley an Isuzu D-Max to be used for testing and race weekends at Snetterton Race Circuit.
Andy Langley has an enviable track record in Mini racing. Having debuted in the Mini Challenge in 2018, Langley quickly established himself as a competitive force, taking pole position and victory in his very first race.
Last season, Langley achieved 14 victories out of the 15 races in the Cooper Class across the calendar, narrowly missing out on a full sweep – finishing second in the one other race. For the forthcoming year, Langley will step up to racing in the R53 Cooper S Class and hopes to carry the impressive form he showed in the previous season.
In support of Andy Langley’s recent progression in racing class, Isuzu Norwich has provided the driver with an Isuzu D-Max to assist on track days at Snetterton Race Circuit for both testing and race weekends. The D-Max, with its 1-tonne payload and 3.5-tonne towing capacity, will serve Andy Langley as an essential support vehicle.
Langley commented: “I want to say a massive thank you to the team at Desira Group for the use of the truck for testing and the upcoming season’s race at Snetterton. Normally, when I go to the track, I fill my car with various gear and there is barely any space left for me. However, with the D-Max, I could fill the load bed with my gear and tow the car, whilst also having space for three other passengers. I didn’t have to push at all, using the truck was effortless and I was very impressed.”
Paul Moore, Local Business Development Manager at Desira Group Isuzu and brother-in-law of Andy Langley, said: “It is a privilege to support Andy on his impressive journey in the Mini Challenge, with next year promising more excitement as he steps up into the Cooper S R53 class. The feedback we have received on the Isuzu D-Max has been overwhelmingly positive so far, as it has proved very useful for carrying Andy’s essential gear and towing his race car. I hope that with the support of D-Max, we can see more success in the upcoming season.”
