Aftersales Manager – Norwich (Nissan & Suzuki)

Salary: Dependent on Experience

Hours: 47.5 per week Monday to Friday 8 am to 6 pm & Alternate Saturdays 8 am to 1 pm.

We are looking for an experienced Aftersales Manager to join our Vulcan Rd, Norwich team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day running of a multi-franchise workshop which is linked with our Nissan dealership, also located along Vulcan Rd.

Looking after 5 Service Advisors, 1 Parts Advisor, 1 Workshop Controller & 12 Technicians.


Main Purpose of Job:

  • You will be responsible for leading and developing a team of highly skilled Technicians and Service Advisors.
  • To ensure all customer vehicles are fully repaired and serviced according to manufacturer standards and within agreed time frames
  • To communicate with the customer regarding the repairs and any additional work required, providing excellent customer service and duty of care
  • To have a thorough knowledge of the complete product range and have knowledge of our competitors
  • To provide guidance and training to each team member to improve their performance and to ensure that all Technicians are doing their jobs effectively and confidently, collaborating as a team
  • To monitor and ensure that the completion of all service and repair paperwork is completed promptly, ensuring complete customer satisfaction
  • To ensure the Technicians are allocated to jobs according to skillset
  • To ensure customer vehicles are handled with care whilst the responsibility of the Service Workshop and that all cars are cleaned and valeted ready for handover to the customer at agreed time frames

Person Specification:

  • To have proven experience in customer service, within a franchised motor-trade environment
  • To have a passion for customer service and the ability to develop rapport and trust with customers and staff alike to resolve any conflicting situations calmly and reasonably
  • To enjoy working in a fast-paced environment recognising individual responsibility to contribute to the performance and success of the overall team.
  • To have the ability to keep up-to-date with complex information, proven selling skills and good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • To have excellent administration and organisational skills, with great diary management and ensuring updates are completed within agreed timeframes
  • To have the skill and desire to succeed, ensuring your team is the best
